Alvaro Bravo Cole
Alvaro is a creative professional who specialises in sustainable and innovative design in the context of well-being and social enterprise. He has extensive experience working within the scope of practice and research for sustainability, visual innovation, strategic thinking, creativity and the Circular Economy.
He has advised on and implemented diverse design-thinking processes for sustainable creative practices and inter-disciplinary strategies. These contributions have ranged from helping communities at a national level, to providing challenge and improvement to commercial enterprises.
Alvaro has helped native communities in South America (e.g. Mapuches in Chile) to take opportunities presented by engaging in certain levels of integration with wider Chilean society, without losing their identity or fuelling major conflict with regional and federal government. He has also founded or helped a range of commercial enterprises to improve their results, ways of operating and strategic development.
He holds an MA (Distinction) from Central St Martins (CSM), and was also recently awarded a place on the Joint CSM/Birkbeck (University of London) MBA, the first MBA globally to explicitly combine Design and Business thinking as tools to address global challenges. He has lectured on, advocated and demonstrated creativity, sustainability and entrepreneurship as key mechanisms of innovation at notable startup hubs and university centres in London, Toronto, Colorado, Barcelona, Concepcion (Chile), Monterrey (Mexico) and Porto Alegre (Brazil) and various corporate settings. Alvaro enjoys family time, all things outdoors and runs some very popular (free) coaching and mentoring classes for youth and children near Brighton, UK.
David is a Change specialist with experience across many industries, including
banking, financial services, social housing and various areas in UK central government. He also volunteers, in various guises, with several Not-for-Profits.
He has provided internal consultancy to a range of Director-Generals, CPOs, CFOs, CDIOs and Directors in the UK Civil Service, many of whom alternated between roles in large well-known private sector corporates and ‘putting back in’ through central government roles. He has provided advice and coaching to executives and specialists in a several well-known private sector companies.
His roles have included advisory to senior leaders in Corporate Strategy & Policy, Corporate Change, HR Policy, Operations and Change, Tech, Digital and Data. Marketing and CX, Corporate Communications and Finance & Banking. He has supported ExCom members in co-designing and piloting risk deep-dives on the people side of change at senior Boards and Sub-Committees, has drafted briefings for use with UK Parliament and key lobby groups and has worked extensively with many well-known private sector supply partners and consulting firms.
He was an Infrastructure and Projects Gateway Reviewer (risk to £500m) for UK government projects and was the Financial Data Lead for HMRC, contributing to the Data Strategy and Architecture underlying the processing of £600bn per year through Making Tax Digital.
David brings multiple perspectives to the help he provides, through his membership of well-known professional bodies in leadership, finance and accounting, data and technology, change delivery and management and risk management. He holds an MBA from Henley (Distinction) and has participated in specialist change and leadership development programmes at Oxford, Cambridge, Harvard, Yale and the UK Cabinet Office. He enjoys family time, coaching and mentoring business students and young people, classic comedy, ancient history and nature walks.
